Always have lemon slices at your fingertips.
To make use of your excess lemons and add a refreshing flavor to your drinks, you can easily freeze your lemons at home and use them whenever you want.
Lemons that are frozen whole can be useful for salads and for grating. For coloring your drinks, this method is much more practical.
If you want to always have your lemon slices at hand, try this method.
- Prepare the Lemons: Wash the lemons thoroughly and dry them. If you’re using organic and pesticide-free lemons, you can slice them without peeling the skins. Otherwise, thinly peel the skins, leaving the white membrane.
- Slice: Slice the dried lemons into your desired shape. Whether you prefer circles or half moons is up to you.
- Freeze: Arrange the sliced lemons neatly on a plate and place them in the freezer. Leave some space between the lemon slices to prevent them from sticking together.
- Store: After a few hours, the lemon slices will be frozen. Transfer them to a storage container and put them back in the freezer.
You can use these frozen lemon slices in your beverages or dishes whenever you need them.
